VinFast, a Hanoi based automaker which was just founded recently in 2017 has revealed their latest production-ready SUV. Only last year, this automaker started manufacturing the LUX A2.0 which was based on the BMW F10 5 series, and the LUX SA2.0 which was based on the BW F15 X5. Both the vehicles are powered by BMW’s N20 turbo four-cylinder engine. The new model that they have released called the ‘President’ has a much bigger and more powerful engine.

The President V8 is the production-ready variant of the LUX V8 was previewed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Under the hood, it had a 6.2L petrol-powered V8 which is speculated to be sourced from General Motors. This is the automaker’s latest SUV, which is turning a few heads.

looks aggressive to match its performance

More about the engine details, it produces 455hp and 624Nm of torque, which can take up to a top speed of 300km/h. Pretty quick at least on paper. For how it performs on the road? We have to wait sometime for that. The designers seem to have tried to make sure the car looks aggressive to match its performance—with a vented bonnet, a diamond mesh grille and quad tipped exhausts are sure to grab attention with its presence.

VinFast plans to make the President V8 only on limited quantities. However, no pricing has been announced.
