It is not every day, that we hear an F1 driver’s house being ransacked. The unfortunate event took place on Sunday night when the thieves broke into Pierre Gasly’s home in Normandy. The thieves ended up stealing a few special watches, racing helmets and other items.
Pierre Gasly is currently racing for AlphaTauri, one of the two teams owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull—the other being Red Bull Racing. Gasly shared a heated post in French on his Instagram account on Monday evening, a day after the Spanish Grand Prix. The racing driver, however, did not give many details on how it happened.
“Some people are really worthless, disrespectful & despicable, I got robbed and [thieves] ransacked my house in Normandy, stealing serious BRM watches in my name, Tag Heuer [watches], jewellery, clothing, glasses, racing helmets. Please contact me if you see or hear any info. Thank you for sharing, please. Thank you,” wrote Gasly (translated)on his Instagram post.
Pierre Gasly, who currently is having a sound season, currently holding the 13th position with 14 points. The performance has been well praised and thus gives him hopes to fight his way back in Red Bull Racing Team.
