For the 2022 model year, the Z06 will extract the engine from the C8.R racecar, which means the muscle car will boast a naturally aspirated 5.5litre V8 engine with dual overhead cams and a flat-plane crank. According to a source from General Motors, Motors, the engine will output about 625horsepowers and over 400lb-ft (nearing 485lb-ft) of torque, screaming and revving up to a staggering 9000rpms. This is synonymous to only the Porsche 911 GT3’s naturally aspirated flat6 screamer.
