Nissan has been clever with their teasing campaign though, because this video reassures fans for something not said outright. The last teaser video from the automaker showcased the Z Proto’s bodylines and the 300ZX inspired taillights, and ended with the Z’s pilot putting his hand on the gear level in a traditional way you’d put yours on an MT. This sparked speculation as to the manual’s presence in the new Z.With the release of the latest teaser, Nissan confirms that the Z Proto will indeed keep the stick shift, showing the driver shift the glorious manual into first gear. It seems like a jab at all those who betrayed the fans’ trust and abandoned the manual.
