It’s unclear what the feature really is, since GMC never elaborated on it beyond a mention back in July. Speculation says that it would be akin to Rivian’s Tank Turn feature, which allows their cars to spin around their own lenghts, i.e, capable of making a zero radius turn. As per the name, it would make sense for the Crab Mode function to be the same.Additionally, GMC tweeted out the logo with the caption “Real revolutionaries forge their own direction”, pushing theorists to further believe it is indeed GMC’s counterpart to the Tank Turn.The Hummer EVs, including electric truck and SUV models, is set to be revealed on the fall of 2021, and likely to leave the production line as a 2022 model year.
