Honda is planning to launch a new NSX-R by 2021!

We still don’t know much about the new NSX-R yet but what we got to know from Japan’s Bestcarweb magazine is that the car will receive a boost in horsepower producing a total of 640hp. All the power will be from the same 3.5liter V6 hybrid that comes with the regular NSX previously topping at 571hp. That’s an astonishing 69hp increase! But we barely know anything about the potentially increased torque figures or any other performance upgrade that the NSX-R will receive. Although I assume Honda won’t be holding back on the NSX-R and make this the best version of any NSX till date. Since the NSX-R will be the track edition of the regular NSX we’ll definitely see some cut in weight and can expect the car to receive several carbon fiber bits here and there. We might even expect to see bigger and lighter rims along with a much larger spoiler and perhaps bigger brakes. You can call the NSX-R the ‘AMG’ variant of the NSX lineup.
