Up until a few hours ago, the all-new Ford Bronco was the talk of the town, coming up with an attractive package only to be causing nightmares for Jeep. Jeep has to keep their game up if there are to compete in the 4X4 segment that they have dominated and reigned supreme for so long.
The 4X4 market in the US is pretty big, even though Jeep has a bigger footprint outside the borders. This, however, could change with the introduction of the 2021 Ford Bronco which will be priced similar to that of the Jeep Wrangler. The entry-level Bronco will feature a 1.5L EcoBoost engine, producing 181 horsepower and a larger 2.0L engine producing 245 horsepower. The ‘full-size’ Bronco will price a little higher naturally, at $34,695. Ford unveiled the vehicle promising hardcore off-roading capabilities with the comforts of a modern SUV.

Today, Jeep released a teaser for a new version of the Wrangler—which will be a plug-in hybrid model named 4xe. No technical specs are announced yet but it is likely to adopt a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, combining the two the vehicle can easily be expected to produce about 300 horsepower.
