CNH Industrial, which is controlled by the investment company Exor, which in turn is controlled by the Italian Agnelli family, had their offices raided by European authorities over claims of their engines producing illegal levels of emissions. The allegation concerns use of so-called ‘defeat devices’ to exploit and mask vehicles’ diesel pollution output.
The company confirmed that several of the group’s offices in Europe were visited by investigators, i.e, magistrates in Germany. They provided their full cooperation in assisting the officials. To address any of the issues and requests that the magistrates may have, CNH Industrial is now investigating the appropriate documentations.
